Run drawing-based, made-to-order fabrication with full revision control, welder qualification logging, and mill TC stacking - so every job ships with documents auditors actually accept.
Tally and BUSY handle accounting. SAP and Microsoft Dynamics need 4-month implementations. Neither is built for these specific fabrication units & job shops pain points:
Customer sends drawing rev 3; cutting starts; rev 4 arrives mid-job. Without rev control at item + BOM + production order level, you weld to the wrong drawing and scrap a week of work.
OEM and EPC customers require WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), PQR (Procedure Qualification Record), and welder qualification per ASME IX or ISO 9606. Excel spreadsheets get lost; auditors fail you.
Customers want a TC stack: which mill plate went into which weldment, with chemical analysis and mechanical properties. Without lot-and-heat-linked inventory, this is a multi-day reconstruction job.
Heavy fab outsources machining of mating surfaces, hot-dip galvanizing, ultrasonic / radiographic testing, and painting. Each is a GST job-work transaction with challan, return, and ITC-04 implication.
Every job is different: 5-tonne weldment vs 50-tonne weldment, different drawing, different alloy, different welder hours. Quote-to-cost variance per job needs to be tracked, not aggregated.
A 3m x 12m HR plate costs ₹2-5 lakh. Poor cutting plan wastes 8-15% as scrap. Manual nesting in AutoCAD is slow; optimal nesting needs an order book view.
Here is exactly what we will show you in a 30-minute demo. Every screen uses real industry workflows, not generic sample data:
Each fabricated item is keyed to a drawing number + revision. When the customer sends rev 4, you supersede rev 3 with a click; open production orders are flagged for review.
BOM for a 5-tonne weldment: 12mm HR plate (qty per cutting list), 8mm plate, structural beams, fasteners, welding consumables, paint. Cutting list shows nesting plan for plate optimization.
When 10mm HR plate arrives from JSW, the Mill TC PDF is attached to the inwards. Plate lot and heat number are recorded. The TC moves with every cut piece downstream.
Production order has a welding plan listing every weld joint, the WPS to be used, and the qualified welder allocated. Welder logs in, scans the joint barcode, performs weld, marks complete. WPS + welder qual + date logged automatically.
After welding, the weldment goes to a machining sub-contractor. System generates GST challan, e-way bill, and tracks pending return. When it returns, receipt is captured; if galvanizing is next, the cycle repeats.
On final dispatch, one click generates the TC stack: drawing rev, material Mill TCs (per piece), welder qualifications, WPS used, NDT report, dimensional inspection, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) result. Customer-ready PDF in 30 seconds.
Per project, the system shows quoted vs actual: material cost, welder hours, machining sub-contract, scrap, overhead. Variance > 5% triggers a review before next quote to that customer.
Heavy fab dispatch often needs over-dimensional cargo (ODC) EWB. System calculates validity at 1 day per 20 km automatically and generates EWB with vehicle weight, dimensions, and route.
Out-of-the-box features (no custom development needed):
Every item, every BOM, every production order linked to drawing rev. Supersession workflow.
Welder masters with qualifications (process, position, base metal, filler). WPS library.
Lot-and-heat tracked inventory; one-click TC stack at dispatch.
GST challan, EWB, return tracking, ITC-04 quarterly - native for all sub-contracted ops.
Per-project P&L; quote-to-cost variance dashboard.
Auto-calculation for over-dimensional cargo (1 day per 20 km per Rule 138).
Indian regulatory requirements handled natively:
Vortex Valves & Fittings
85 employees, ₹22 cr turnover, valves + structural fittings
"Job-wise costing changed how we quote. Earlier we were averaging across all jobs and slowly losing margin on the complex weldments. Now we see quote-vs-actual per job and the complex jobs are repriced. Three of our recurring product variants got a 12% price correction last quarter without losing a single customer."Measured outcomes
Each item is keyed to a drawing number + revision. When the customer sends a new rev, you create the new rev as a child of the old one. Open production orders, quotations, and inventory referencing the old rev are flagged. You decide whether to supersede or run both in parallel.
Yes. Welder masters store qualifications by process (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW), position (1G/2G/3G/4G/5G/6G), base metal P-number, filler metal F-number, and expiry date. WPS library stores procedures. Production order auto-suggests qualified welders per joint.
Yes. Mill TC PDF is attached at material inwards along with plate lot and heat number. As plates are cut, welded, machined, and packed, the lot ID travels through. At dispatch, the TC stack PDF aggregates: Mill TCs (per piece) + welder qual + WPS + NDT + dimensional inspection.
When you send a weldment to a machining sub-contractor, the system generates Form GST CHA challan + e-way bill in one screen. The challan is logged with the 1-year deemed-supply deadline. When the weldment returns, receipt closes the challan. ITC-04 quarterly is auto-generated.
ERPDrive auto-detects ODC dimensions from item master and calculates EWB validity at 1 day per 20 km (vs 1 day per 200 km for normal cargo) per Rule 138(10). Vehicle Part B is entered once per shipment.
1 week for a 50-150 employee single-location unit. We pre-load welder qual templates, common WPS, and standard structural item codes (ISMB, ISMC, ISA, plate grades) so master setup is template-driven.
Yes. ERPDrive handles items, BOMs, production, inventory, sub-contract, GST, dispatch. If you use a separate PM tool (MS Project, primavera) for milestones, we can integrate via API or run side-by-side with daily sync.
